No Dollar Shoes is a high-energy four piece country punk band comprised of twin Wilmington natives Carson & Jesse Jewell on guitars, Ryan Eversole on fiddle and mandolin and Benjamin Smith on upright bass. Their constant three part harmonies will keep your head bobbin' for your drinking durations, and prove to knock the socks off of any beer-handed foot stompers and may even knock a few skirts off in the process.
|
|
Formed in 2005 by Smith and the twins, NO$ has grown as a local favorite and a constant reminder of what playing music and having fun are all about. Over the years NO$ has had a hand in many local events, fundraisers and benefits. For the future we will continue to write and produce more music for our friends and fans, and will always be a shoulder for our listeners to lean on.

Jay Mullenax - Mandolin, Tenor Banjo, Vocals From Franklin, WV, Jay Mullenax is the founder of County Farm. Jay has a remarkable ability to remember more tunes than you or I have ever heard. He sings most of the leads for County Farm, and is a formidable picker on mandolin and tenor banjo, among other things.
Tom Dudley - Guitar, Vocals From North Haven, CT, Tom Dudley first got into bluegrass as a teenager, frequenting "the Enormous Room" in New Haven, a Yale University venue that played host to Bill Monroe, Ralph Stanley and others.
Neal Crowley - Fiddle, Banjo, Guitar, Banjolin, Vocals From Lexington, KY, Neal started spending time at music festivals as soon as he was old enough to drive, and when he discovered "all night jams," he ruined his sleep schedule permanently.
Don "Easy D" Rawson- Upright Bass, Fiddle, Vocals. Hailing from Georgia and Ohio, inmate number 060872 has thumped the upright bass with County Farm since 2005. Don enjoys playing grass, old time, Cajun, country blues and Western Swing.

"Ken Scoggins & Miller's Creek feature smooth harmonies and solid picking in a program rich with strong material. This is a relatively new band that should offer a lot in the future..." Bluegrass Unlimited Magazine. Scoggins is a veteran bluegrass singer from Rock Hill, SC, whose playing and singing style is reminiscent of first generation bluegrass performers. Once you hear him sing the first line, you know you have found something special.

Ken has traveled extensively throughout the U.S. over the last 10 years, performing for receptive crowds at many of the nation's larger bluegrass venues with Miller's Creek, a band he and three friends formed in 1997.
The Miller's Creek Band is comprised of Doug Rankin, from Mountain Rest, SC, plays mandolin and sings multiple harmony parts. 2010 will be Doug's seventh season with Ken and has become a Miller's Creek mainstay. Bill Scoggins, Ken's brother, rejoined the band in Apr '08 after having spent three years as one of Raymond Fairchild's Maggie Valley Boys. Bill's strong vocals and his '41 Kay bass fiddle solidify the traditional, professional sound. Joe Coffey makes his home in Powder Springs, Ga. He joined the band in Dec '08 on banjo and sings multiple harmony parts. Joe's exceptionally clean, smooth sound fits the band perfectly.
